About the Department

The Department of Biology at the Faculty of Education in Kabaw [Nalut University] was established in [2016]. The establishment of the department came in response to the need of educational institutions and the local community for qualified scientific personnel in the fields of life sciences. Since its inception, the department aims to prepare graduates who possess a solid scientific foundation in biology and are capable of serving educational, research, medical, and environmental institutions, as well as contributing to sustainable development.

Leadership and excellence in the education and research of biological sciences, and active contribution to community development and environmental service.

Providing high-quality academic education in the fields of life sciences, preparing graduates who are scientifically and skillfully qualified, and promoting scientific research and community service through educational and research programs that meet labor market needs and support the protection and preservation of the environment.

I am pleased to welcome you to the Department of Biology, one of the fundamental scientific departments aimed at preparing a distinguished generation of graduates capable of serving the community and contributing to scientific and research development in the fields of life sciences.

The department has set its sights since its establishment on keeping pace with scientific development and enhancing the educational and research process by providing a stimulating academic environment, equipped laboratories, and modern curricula that comply with quality standards and academic accreditation. The department also pays special attention to developing students' practical and research skills, enabling them to integrate into the job market efficiently and competently.

curriculum

The semester system according to the decision of the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research No. (465) for the year 2022 regarding the approval of the regulatory framework for the Colleges of Education at public Libyan universities, where the semester system has been initiated for the academic year 2022/2023.
