About the Department

The English Department at the College of Education in Kabaw [Nalut University] was established in [2016] in response to the growing need for qualified personnel with high skills in the English language and its literature. It aims to meet the labor market's demand for national qualifications with high competencies in the field of English to engage in various social and academic fields. The English Department is considered an important addition that contributes to enhancing the level and diversity of academic outputs, thereby addressing the various scientific and academic orientations of learners in a way that achieves plans for elevating effective national competencies.

Leadership and excellence in teaching the English language and enhancing students' academic and cultural levels, in line with local and international quality and academic accreditation standards.

The English Department aims to prepare academically and skillfully qualified graduates who possess high linguistic and cultural competencies that enable them to communicate effectively and work efficiently in the fields of education, translation, research, and community service. This is achieved through a stimulating educational environment that relies on creativity, scientific research, and the use of modern technologies.

I am pleased to welcome you to the English Department, one of the vital departments in our college, which aims to prepare qualified students who possess high linguistic and cultural competence that enables them to engage in the job market and society with efficiency and distinction.

curriculum

The semester system according to the decision of the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research No. (465) for the year 2022 regarding the approval of the regulatory framework for the Colleges of Education at public Libyan universities, where the semester system has been initiated for the academic year 2022/2023.
